Dear Porcupine Familly, We are seeking community members to join the SISD Citizens' Facilities Advisory Committee to help our district plan for the future. This committee is charged with: 🟠Representing the entire community in the facility planning process. ⚫Honoring the district’s history, traditions, and values. 🟠Assisting the district in assessing and prioritizing current and long-term facility needs, including: -District enrollment, capacity, and campus utilization -Building age, safety, and condition -Student and program equity -Evolving educational delivery and programs ⚫Considering the educational needs of all students and aligning recommendations with the district’s mission, vision, and goals. 🟠Considering the district’s current financial position and funding methods to develop a fiscally sound recommendation. The committee will report its findings to the Springtown ISD Board of Trustees, including recommendations on how to meet the district's needs through future bond programs. 🚍 Springtown ISD Bus Ridership Update 🚍 The Bus Ridership Form is currently closed but will reopen after the first day of school. Our bus drivers are in the process of receiving their routes and will be practicing them over the next few days. They will also be calling parents today to confirm that your child is on their bus and provide the expected pick-up time. 🚨 Important Update for Springtown ISD Families 🚨 To help keep all of our students safe, we want to update you that food deliveries can now only be made by individuals listed under your student’s emergency contacts. This means that services like Uber Eats, GrubHub, Food Kab, etc., will not be allowed to deliver food to students at school. Please make sure that any food brought to school is delivered by someone listed on your child’s emergency contact list. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated as we work together to maintain a safe environment for all our students. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Springtown ISD will be hosting a Vaccination Clinic on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, starting at 8:00 am at both Springtown Intermediate School (SIS) and Springtown High School (SHS). ✔️ Some students will qualify for vaccines at no cost. ✔️ Most private insurance will be accepted. ✔️ A consent form is required. 📝 Consent forms can be found in the campus nurse's office or on the SISD Website - Health Services. Today's beautiful sunshine has helped local roads clear for safe travel to school tomorrow in Springtown ISD. We will be having school on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, on regular schedule. It will be cold throughout the day - and especially tomorrow morning at bus stops and during morning arrival - so bundle up and stay safe, Porcupines! We will have our campuses warmed up and ready for you! Additionally, we kindly request all students and staff wear green tomorrow as a gesture of honor and solidarity with the Paradise ISD community. This is in remembrance of their school board member and two children who tragically lost their lives in a plane accident. 📣 REMINDER: Two-Hour Early Release Tomorrow! 🚌🏈 Tomorrow, Friday, November 10th, all SISD campuses will have a two-hour early release to ensure our buses and bus drivers can make it back from their routes in time to take our students out to Snyder, TX for the playoff football game against Hereford! #QuillUp #PorcupineFamily

As a result of the SHS Football team's win on Friday night, and due to the bi-district game being in Snyder, we will have a 2 hour early release on Friday, November 10th. The primary reason for doing this is for transportation reasons. #Porcupine Family
