Itโs important to understand what youโll see on the ballot when you head into the voting booth.
By law, school districts can only purchase items approved by voters with bond funds. For the November 2023 bond, that means SISD can only use funds for school facilities or to purchase land.
The ballot will also include the required language, โThis is a property tax increase.โ This statement is required on all school bond elections.

๐ณ๏ธ REMINDER: TODAY IS THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER TO VOTE! ๐ณ๏ธ
Today is the deadline to register to vote in the November 7, 2023 election.
There will be several important issues on the ballot, including the Springtown ISD bond proposal and a Constitutional Amendment to raise the property tax Homestead Exemption from $40,000 to $100,000.

Texas enacted HB 114 in 2023. Parents: if your child is caught with a vape on school property or at a school event, they will be placed in a Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) as mandated by law.
