Dear Parents and Guardians,
The safety and well-being of our students will always be our top priority. We also want to remain as transparent as possible, ensuring you are informed about events that impact our campus. This letter is part of that commitmentโto keep you updated and reassure you that we are doing everything possible to keep our students safe.
This morning, at approximately 8:20 AM, Springtown PD received a call reporting a possible threat against Springtown High School. Our School Resource Officer immediately alerted campus administration, and out of an abundance of caution, we placed the campus in a Hold while notifying central administration. Central Administration and six additional Springtown police officers responded to ensure our campus remained secure.
To further ensure safety, we contacted our security partners, who brought a trained detection dog to assist in a thorough sweep of the building. As the administration and Springtown PD conducted their investigation, they identified the student who was responsible for the call. Following a full investigation, it was determined that the call was a hoax. At that time, we lifted the Hold, and normal campus operations resumed.
Springtown Police have officially taken over the investigation, and we will continue to cooperate fully. Please be assured that Springtown High School will enforce the Student Code of Conduct and take appropriate disciplinary action.
We understand that situations like this can be unsettling for parents, students, and staff. Please know that every action taken today was done with the utmost care to protect our students and ensure their safety. Your patience, trust, and understanding are greatly appreciated.
Springtown is an incredible community, and we are grateful for the continued support from parents, staff, and local law enforcement. Even though this was determined to be a hoax, we do not and will never take these matters lightly, and any disruption to the safety of our students will be met with serious consequences.
Thank you for trusting us with your students.

โผ๏ธ DELAYED START - 10:00AM โผ๏ธ
Springtown ISD will operate on a delayed start schedule today, with classes beginning at 10:00 AM.
Our team has been out assessing road conditions since 3:45 AM. While roads in town are generally in good shape, there are a few rural areas that require extra caution. We want to allow our bus drivers to navigate those routes in daylight for added safety.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.
Please stay safe, and we look forward to seeing everyone later this morning.

No School Tomorrow, January 10th!
We donโt get many of these rare Texas snow days, but they sure bring out the kid in all of us! As children, we would dream of waking up to the magic words, โNo school today!โ Wellโฆ itโs here. Youโve got it now.
Superintendent Shane Strickland took those famous grandparent tales to heart โ you know the ones about walking barefoot to school in the snow, uphill both ways. Letโs just sayโฆ he gave it a try, and youโll want to see how that turned out! ๐
Head over to our districtโs Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SpringtownISD) to check out the post and enjoy a good laugh. Trust us โ itโs worth it!
Most importantly, take tomorrow to enjoy this unexpected gift of time. Whether youโre playing in the snow, sipping hot chocolate, or simply staying cozy indoors, make some memories. If you have kids, soak up these moments with them. The snow will melt, but the memories will last a lifetime.
Stay warm, stay safe, and weโll see you on Monday!
