Hey parents/guardians! On the last day of school, our seniors might be in the back student parking lot with 💦 water balloons & water guns at dismissal!

To avoid getting caught in the fun, you may want to consider picking up your student in the front circle or the band parking lot instead.

Dear Springtown High School Families, Our hearts are with every one of you as we navigate the aftermath of Saturday’s tornado. These past few days have been incredibly challenging for our community, and our primary focus remains the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families. As we prepare to welcome our students back to campus tomorrow, Thursday, April 30th, we want to provide an important update regarding the STAAR Algebra I End-of-Course (EOC) assessment. Our original testing date of Tuesday, April 28th, was postponed due to school closures. Because this week is the final window for STAAR testing across the state, we have been in close communication with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to advocate for our students. To meet state requirements while balancing our current circumstances, we have adjusted our testing plan: Standard Testing Date: Most students will take the Algebra I EOC this Friday, May 1st. This allows our students a day to settle back into their routines and reconnect with teachers tomorrow. Conflict Testing Date: We recognize that many of our high school students are involved in pre-scheduled music contests, athletic playoffs, and other extracurricular events this Friday. To ensure these students can still participate in their activities, students with Friday conflicts will be scheduled to test tomorrow, Thursday, April 30th. We understand that testing may be the last thing on your minds right now. Our goal is to provide a calm, supportive, and familiar environment regardless of which day your student tests. We want our students to feel empowered to simply do their best, without any added pressure during this recovery period. Our teachers and counselors will be on hand to provide extra emotional support for any student who may need it. Thank you for your incredible resilience and for the grace you have shown our district during this week. We are so looking forward to seeing our students' faces tomorrow. Note: If your family has been displaced or is facing specific hardships that will make attendance difficult this week, please reach out to the high school administration immediately so we can support you.

Springtown ISD continues to make great progress on the projects approved by voters in the 2025 Bond. During the recent Bond Oversight Committee meeting, updates were shared on Littleton Springs Elementary, the Springtown Middle School Science & CTE Addition, and the Springtown Elementary renovations.

Here are a few highlights:
📍 Littleton Springs Elementary (Elementary #4)
Construction has officially begun following approval of the first construction package. We are excited to celebrate the groundbreaking on March 26th! 𝑉𝑖𝑒𝑤 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑒 𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑘𝑒𝑑 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑤 𝑡𝑜 𝑣𝑖𝑒𝑤 𝑐𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑢𝑠 𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠, 𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑟 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑝𝑡𝑠, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑗𝑒𝑐𝑡 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠.

Design work has been completed, and construction is currently scheduled to begin Summer 2026. This project will expand Science and CTE learning opportunities for our students at Springtown Middle School. 🎭 Senior Parents — Don’t Forget! 🎓

We are currently collecting photos for the Senior Prom Memories Video that will be shown at both Prom and Graduation this year!

To make sure every senior is included, please send in your photos as soon as possible. We truly don’t want anyone to be disappointed if their senior is not included in the video.

Hello Class of 2027!! We know you've heard murmurs of course selection happening with the underclassmen and are probably wondering when your turn will be...it's coming soon!! We would love to see you and your parents/guardians at our first ever "Rising Senior" information night next Monday, March 2nd. The rest of that week and the next counselors will be pulling you one-on-one to talk about your senior year courses!

Dear SHS Families,

It's that time of year!  Counselors will meet with students in the Classes of 2028 (current 9th grade) and 2029 (current 10th grade) next week, February 17–20, to complete course selection for the 2026–2027 school year. During classroom presentations, counselors will review graduation requirements, credits and grades, and new courses and programs of study. They will also meet individually with students to discuss their interests and goals and help them select appropriate courses. Counselors will be available during lunch periods throughout the week to answer any questions.

Students will bring home a course selection card that must be reviewed and signed by a parent or guardian (9th grade on Tuesday, 2/17; 10th grade on Thursday, 2/19). We encourage you to speak with your student about their academic goals and to contact us with any questions you or your child may have about course options.

⭐️Course Preview Night for the 2026-2027 school year is this Thursday, February 5th from 6:00-8:00. Incoming 9th graders will meet in the SHS auditorium promptly at 6:00 for a presentation from our counselors. All other grade levels can visit teacher tables to preview courses for next year. We can't wait to see you there! ⭐️Course Preview Night is for students and guardians.

⭐️ Cheer tryouts are right around the corner! If you're interested in trying out, you must attend one of the two mandatory parent/guardian meetings.

We are back to regular schedule tomorrow, Friday, January 30th!

We are excited to welcome back all of our Porcupines. As always, please know these decisions are never made lightly. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate weather-related calls.

Tomorrow, please travel safely and give one another a little extra grace as we get back into the groove for one day.
