Dear Porcupine Familly, We are seeking community members to join the SISD Citizens' Facilities Advisory Committee to help our district plan for the future. This committee is charged with: 🟠Representing the entire community in the facility planning process. ⚫Honoring the district’s history, traditions, and values. 🟠Assisting the district in assessing and prioritizing current and long-term facility needs, including: -District enrollment, capacity, and campus utilization -Building age, safety, and condition -Student and program equity -Evolving educational delivery and programs ⚫Considering the educational needs of all students and aligning recommendations with the district’s mission, vision, and goals. 🟠Considering the district’s current financial position and funding methods to develop a fiscally sound recommendation. The committee will report its findings to the Springtown ISD Board of Trustees, including recommendations on how to meet the district's needs through future bond programs. Reno Elementary would like to give a HUGE thank you to the Springtown Lions Club Volleyball for their generous donation towards new playground equipment! This donation is going to really help us in purchasing pieces of new equipment that our students can enjoy! We are so grateful for a community that feel led to bless our school!

We are just some parent pickup staff celebrating a day 3 of school, end of the parent pickup line COMPLETE in 20 minutes!!! 20 minutes!!! On day 3!!! Can you imagine how fast we will be in a couple of weeks??!! Thank you to all the parents who help keep the line moving by: -Having car tags visible with students' first and last names. -Staying in line and not switching lanes. -Staying in your vehicle and if your children need assistance, pulling into the parking lot to assist rather than slowing down the lines. We will get faster and faster! We appreciate your patience and your support! Great things are happening at Reno Elementary!!!

The first week at Reno Elementary was filled with lots of learning the Porcupine Way and lots of love! It was truly one of the best first weeks! We can't wait for next week! Great things are happening at Reno Elementary!

First day Info: -No drop off before 7:10. -The first day is hard, but please get your student to class & settled, then exit the building or stop by our boo hoo/wahoo breakfast. -Tardy Bell rings @ 7:35. -Bring school supplies if you haven't already. 🚍 Springtown ISD Bus Ridership Update 🚍 The Bus Ridership Form is currently closed but will reopen after the first day of school. Our bus drivers are in the process of receiving their routes and will be practicing them over the next few days. They will also be calling parents today to confirm that your child is on their bus and provide the expected pick-up time. 2024-2025 Meet the Teacher was a success!!!! It was so nice to see returning families and to meet all the new students and families! Popsicles with the Principals was hot, but we still had a great time! It's going to be a great year!!! Great things are happening at Reno Elementary!

🚨 Important Update for Springtown ISD Families 🚨 To help keep all of our students safe, we want to update you that food deliveries can now only be made by individuals listed under your student’s emergency contacts. This means that services like Uber Eats, GrubHub, Food Kab, etc., will not be allowed to deliver food to students at school. Please make sure that any food brought to school is delivered by someone listed on your child’s emergency contact list. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated as we work together to maintain a safe environment for all our students. Thank you for your understanding and support!

And we are BACK!!!! Convocation today was AMAZING! All our Reno staff began, and will continue throughout the week, preparing the campus and their classrooms for Meet the Teacher (8/8 from 6-7) and the first day of school (8/14)! Reno Families, Please read the very important message below regarding the adjustment to start times this school year! All elementary schools in the District will start at 7:35 AM (in previous years the start time was 7:40 AM). This change was necessary to ensure that Springtown ISD schools meet the required number of instructional minutes mandated for all schools in Texas. Keeping the original start time would have put us at risk of falling short of these requirements, especially on bad weather days when schools might close. To avoid adding extra days to the summer, it was decided that starting five minutes earlier was the best solution. Additionally, Springtown ISD staggers start and stop times across different grade level campuses to allow parents ample travel time if they wish to drop their children off at their respective schools. Principals have been communicating this change through their newsletters, and we will continue to provide updates and reminders about the new start times for each campus before the first day of school starts. We offer bus and shuttle services to help students arrive on time. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact your campus administration or transportation department. They are ready to help in any way possible.
