๐ฐโจ ! โจ๐๏ธ Our students traveled back to Medieval Times! While 2nd graders are learning about Ancient Greece ๐, the Medieval era shows how those ideas continued to grow and changeโfrom architecture to stories to ways of thinking. ๐๏ธโก๏ธ๐ฐ
This background knowledge will also help students understand the role of a knight in their skills book this year, and later in 4th grade during the Medieval unit in RLA. โ๏ธ๐ก๏ธ
By exploring Medieval Times firsthand, students got to see, touch, and experience history in a way that connects to what they are learning in the classroom. Plus, they had a TON of fun! ๐จ

Families will receive a passport with locations to visit around campus, including classrooms, Specials, Lost & Found, and stations for purchasing yearbooks or Reno spirit wear.
-Enjoy hot cocoa, cookies, and a picture opportunity with Santaโall free!
-Families who visit at least six locations may turn in their passports for a chance to win one of the following prizes:
*Two Amazon Fire Kids Tablets or *One regular Amazon Fire Tablet
Weโre excited to welcome everyone and celebrate the season together!
-The Tip Top Holiday Shop begins today and runs through Friday, 12/12.
-Classes will have scheduled times to visit and preview the shop.
-Students may return on additional days if they bring money to shop.

These kiddos havenโt been absent for not one, but TWO six weeks straight! ๐๐๐ฏ
To celebrate their awesome attendance, we threw a popsicle party! ๐ง๐
At Reno Elementary, Attendance Matters! ๐ซโจ
We want families to understand just how important it is for students to attend school every day. Not only is attendance required by law, but itโs also essential for student success โ students can only learn and grow when theyโre here!
Last year, Reno Elementary missed out on receiving two academic designations that we may have qualified for if our attendance rate had been higher. Our attendance dropped significantly during the fourth and fifth six weeks (after Winter Break), and we want to work together to prevent that from happening again this year.
๐ฏ Our Attendance Goal for the 2025-2026 school year: 96%
So far this year our attendance rate has been:
1st Six Weeks: 94%
2nd Six Weeks: 96.35% โ We met our goal! ๐
Weโre so proud of this improvement and want to keep the momentum going! While we understand that students may occasionally need to miss school due to illness or emergencies, we want to encourage families to prioritize attendance whenever possible. Every day counts! ๐
