🍽️ Kids Invite Someone Special (KISS) lunches are this week!!! Please read below so the day runs really smoothly!
This special event will be held on Monday, 3/2 and Tuesday, 3/3.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as this event takes a lot of coordination due to our cafeteria size and the number of guests attending. 🧡

➡️ Students without a guest will enjoy a picnic lunch in their classrooms to help make space for visitors.

⏰ Please arrive on time so you can enjoy the full lunch period with your student. 🧡

🧺 Lunch Options:
Outside lunches are encouraged! If you plan to purchase a meal in the cafeteria, please note that we do not accept debit or credit cards. 💵
Cash only, please — and small bills or exact change are greatly appreciated! 🧡
🥪 Meal Prices:
Student Lunch (PK–4th): $3.50
Adult Meal: $4.75
🍪 Snacks such as cookies and ice cream are also available and range from $0.50–$2.00. 🧡

🕐 Lunch Times:
Pre-K — 10:30–11:00
Kindergarten — 10:40–11:10
2nd Grade — 11:00–11:30
4th Grade — 11:20–11:50
1st Grade — 11:35–12:05
3rd Grade — 11:55–12:25 🧡

If you did not pre-register, please expect a short wait in line as we will need to run your information through our system upon arrival. Thank you for your patience and understanding! All guests must have a valid photo ID🧡

📖 Reminder: Monday and Tuesday are regular school days — please help us make sure all students stay the full day so they don’t miss important learning time. 🧡

Our 2nd grade classroom carnival was in full swing as students stepped right up to explore the world of 2D and 3D shapes! 🎪✨

Through hands-on stations, students identified and named shapes, described their attributes (sides, vertices, faces, and edges), sorted and classified them in different ways, and even created their own shape designs. From flat figures to solid shapes, they showed just how well they can shape up their math thinking!

Learning was engaging, collaborative, and full of problem-solving — the best kind of carnival fun. 🎟️🎪🎡🎠

📚 Reading Benchmark – This Thursday, 2/26
Our 3rd and 4th graders will take their Reading Benchmark on Thursday. Benchmarks are assessments we give prior to the State Assessment (STAAR) to measure student progress and determine how we can adjust instruction and WIN time to ensure students are fully prepared for STAAR in April.

Please review the graphic to help set your child up for success so they can do their very best!

🦘🐍🌟 What a WILD Day at Reno! 🌟🐾🦎 Today, the Creature Teacher brought the zoo to us at Reno Elementary — and our Porcupines were ALL IN! 🦔🧡🐾 From fuzzy fur 🐇 to slithery scales 🐍, students got an up-close look at some amazing animals and even had the chance to interact with them! 🙌👀✨ The curiosity, excitement, and thoughtful questions were next level! 🧠💬💡 Hands-on experiences like this make learning come alive and create memories our students won’t forget! 📚💫 Huge THANK YOU to the Creature Teacher for such an unforgettable day at Reno! 🧡🦔🐾 #PorcupineFamily 🦔 #WeAreReno 🧡 #WildAboutLearning 🐾🌎

Our Valentine’s parties at Reno Elementary were such a SWEET success! 💕🍭

Our students and families are truly the sweetest — we are so “lucky in love” to have such an amazing community! 💌✨ From adorable cards to yummy treats and lots of heart-filled laughter, the day was bursting with joy. ❤️🎉

There was so much kindness “floating” around, it was un-BEE-lievable! 🐝💗 Our classrooms were full of smiles, friendship, and love — and we just ate it up! 🍪🍓

What a celebration our 100th day of school was! 🎉💯 We had 100-year-olds walking around campus (maybe they got a little turned around on the way to their nursing homes 😉👵👴) and students rocking outfits with 100 items—wow! 🧦🎈🎀 Add in all the fun, festive 100-day shirts 👕✨ and it truly made the day extra special. Between snow days ❄️ and the craziness of jumping back into routine, we didn’t get a chance to post—but this was WAY too good not to share!

Snowy Texas weather + sweet learning = the best combo ❄️🍦🧡

Our 2nd graders have been busy cooking up learning across subjects! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
➕ In math, students used hands-on bakery activities to model multiplication and division with equal groups and arrays—proving their learning was truly on a roll 🍞📊
📖 In reading, they enjoyed a story about a baker and learned the value of hard work—because good things take time (and effort!) to bake 🍩💪

To top it all off, students enjoyed ice cream sundaes donated by Ice Slingers 🍨🎉—the perfect way to chill and celebrate all their hard work… even with snow on the ground in Texas! ❄️🤠🍦

We are excited to introduce our new School Resource Officer, Officer Long! 🎉👮‍♂️

Officer Long has already jumped right in and is getting to know our students and staff, and we are so glad to have him as part of our campus family 🧡🏫

A little about Officer Long:
⭐ Caegan C. Long was born and raised in Texas
🎓 Attended Abilene Christian University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice
🚔 Graduated from the police academy in 2023 and began working with the Springtown Police Department in Fall 2023
⏱️ Has approximately 2½ years of patrol experience
💍 Married to his incredibly amazing wife for almost 3 years
👶 Proud dad to a 2-month-old son
