As loyal Porcupines we know that orange makes an impactful statement and we made one today for Unity Day!!! We wore orange in an effort to promote and encourage kindness, acceptance and inclusion. We believe no one should ever experience bullying!
This week, we had LOTS of positive office referrals! Positive office referrals are when students are recognized for doing positive things, bring kind to others, and being great citizens!
Great things are happening at Reno Elementary!

WEAR and SHARE ORANGE!
Wednesday, October 18th is Unity Day! Created by the National Bullying Prevention Center, the third Wednesday in October has become the day to come together in one giant ORANGE message of hope and support. Why Orange? Unity Day is celebrated in October, and orange is a color commonly identified with the month and autumn season. It is also a color that is associated with safety and visibility. As loyal Porcupines we know that orange makes an impactful statement! On this day we invite all of our students to wear orange in an effort to promote and encourage kindness, acceptance and inclusion. Let’s show our community that we believe no child should ever experience bullying! For more information please visit: https://www.pacer.org/bullying/nbpm/unity-day.asp
💵 FINANCIAL FRIDAY 💵
It’s important to understand what you’ll see on the ballot when you head into the voting booth.
By law, school districts can only purchase items approved by voters with bond funds. For the November 2023 bond, that means SISD can only use funds for school facilities or to purchase land.
The ballot will also include the required language, “This is a property tax increase.” This statement is required on all school bond elections.
For more information on the tax impact of the 2023 bond proposal, visit www.springtownisdbond2023.com/tax-information
🗳️ REMINDER: TODAY IS THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER TO VOTE! 🗳️
