Ms. Garza will be entering her 4th year as the Percussion Director for Springtown ISD. She directs the percussion program and curriculum for all 6th through 12th-grade percussion students, including The Sound of Springtown Drumline.

Ms. Garza received her bachelor's in Music Education at TCU, go Frogs! At TCU, she performed in the award-winning percussion ensemble, symphony orchestra, symphonic band, steel band, and marching band. She had the opportunity to perform at PASIC (International Percussion Convention) in High School and again at TCU’s showcase concert. That year, the TCU Bassline won their category in the PASIC small ensemble contest. She also had the privilege of being a member of the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps in 2017.

Outside of school, Ms. Garza enjoys playing video games, eating Mexican food, and spending time with her German shepherd, Obi!

Mrs. Wells is excited to be in her 17th year at SISD and is the head director at Springtown Middle School.  She currently teaches the SMS Honors Band, SMS Beginning Low Brass, and the SIS Low Brass class. In the fall when not at SMS, you will find her helping with the Sound of Springtown Marching Band! 

She is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Music Adjudicators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and the Association of Texas Small School Bands. 

Mrs. Wells earned her Bachelor's degree in Music Education at the University of North Texas, where she studied euphonium with Dr. Brian Meixner and Dr. Brian Bowman and performed in the UNT Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Brass Band, Basketball Band, Tuba Euphonium Ensemble, and Green Brigade Marching Band. When she has any free time, she enjoys spending it at home in Keller with her husband, Josh, and her dog, Daisy and stockpiling yarn for her knit and crochet projects.
